Turbat: Border Trade to Resume at Sorab-Mand Point in Early December

TURBAT (News Desk): Deputy Commissioner Kech, Bashir Ahmed Badini, held an important meeting with Iranian officials at the Baseet Panjgah Labd Border, focusing on enhancing bilateral trade and reopening the border trade route.

According to sources, the meeting discussed the revival of cross-border commerce, facilitation for the business community, and the establishment of a more organized transportation system. It was decided that the border pillar No. 214 (Sorab-Mand Border) will be officially reopened for trade during the first week of December.

Deputy Commissioner Badini stated that the resumption of border trade will create new employment opportunities for local residents and strengthen the economy of the Makran Division.

Officials from both sides will visit the Sorab-Mand border point, while Iranian authorities are scheduled to inspect the site on December 1. Following these visits, the border will be formally opened for business activities within the same week.

Local residents and traders have welcomed the decision, expressing hope that the revival of border trade will boost the regional economy and further strengthen friendly and cooperative ties between Pakistan and Iran.
