Universities Equipped to Provide Advanced Training

Governor Balochistan, Jafar Khan Mandokhail, highlighted the growing capabilities of the province’s public universities, stating that their senior scholars and researchers are now fully equipped to provide advanced training to officers in major companies and government departments. He emphasized that degrees and certifications awarded by these institutions are fully credible, and their expertise should be leveraged for the benefit of the country.

Addressing Youth Unemployment through Job Fairs

The remarks were made during the “Job Fair 2025” held at the BUITEMS University, Takatu Campus. The event was attended by Vice Chancellor Dr. Khalid Hafeez, Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Mirwaise Kasi, Principal Secretary to the Governor Kaleem Allah Babar, Vice Chairman of the Balochistan Investment Board Bilal Khan Kakr, along with representatives from various universities, national and international companies, and banks.

Governor Mandokhail pointed out that one of the province’s most pressing challenges is youth unemployment. Unlike Punjab and Sindh, employment opportunities in Balochistan are limited, leaving many young people struggling to find work. He said job fairs play a crucial role in bridging the gap between academia and industry, helping students explore new career paths and employment opportunities.

Bridging Academia and Industry for Career Development

He added that such initiatives provide students with practical insights into the professional world, demonstrating the strong link between education and employment. The universities aim not only to provide quality education but also to equip students with modern skills, professional networks, and opportunities that enable them to succeed in their chosen careers.

Governor Mandokhail further emphasized the need to strengthen collaboration between academia and the private sector, noting that the government alone cannot provide employment for millions of youth. Strengthening the private sector is therefore essential for sustainable job creation.

The eighth BUITEMS Job Fair 2025 featured stalls from national and international companies and banks, where representatives briefed students on their organizations, products, and career opportunities. The Governor personally visited over 100 stalls, encouraging students to take advantage of the opportunities available and congratulated the university administration for successfully organizing the event.
