Quetta: Authorities in Balochistan have decided to launch a large-scale crackdown on non-custom paid (NCP) vehicles following reports that such vehicles are being used in terrorism and criminal activities. A province-wide operation has been approved to curb the movement and misuse of illegal vehicles.
According to official sources, more than 200,000 non-custom paid vehicles are currently present across Balochistan. These vehicles are suspected to be involved in various unlawful activities. The Excise & Taxation Department, Police, Customs, and Frontier Corps (FC) have been directed to initiate joint action.
Province-Wide Operation Approved
Excise officials confirmed that a phase-wise crackdown will be carried out across Balochistan. The first phase targets high-risk districts to reduce security threats and restrict the use of illegal transport in violent incidents.
Major Seizure in Mastung — Cash and 11 NCP Vehicles Recovered
In a significant operation in Mastung, authorities recovered 11 non-custom paid vehicles worth approximately Rs 81 million, along with cash amounting to 1 million rupees. Officials stated that additional evidence has also been collected from the site.
Daily Operations Underway Across the Province
The Excise & Taxation Department reports that profiling data of around 40,000 NCP vehicles has already been compiled, while daily raids and roadside inspections continue in multiple districts.
