Chaman: Deputy Commissioner Chaman, Habib Ahmed Bangulzai, has announced that due to the tense situation at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, the With-Holding Camp designated for Afghan nationals has been shifted to the Chaman Master Plan Area.

According to the DC, all necessary facilities have been fully provided at the new location for Afghan families. These include accommodation, protection from harsh winter conditions, and other essential services.

To strengthen emergency response, the Deputy Commissioner has additionally deployed:

  • a large fire brigade vehicle,
  • clean drinking water, and
  • an extra ambulance for the medical camp.

He added that the shift was made because the Master Plan area offers proper rooms and better shelter, ensuring that Afghan nationals do not face any difficulty during harsh winter weather.

DC Chaman further stated that, in accordance with the directions of the federal and provincial governments, all possible measures are being taken to ensure the dignified and orderly return of Afghan nationals.
