Barkhan:A moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 struck Balochistan, Pakistan, on December 13, 2025, at 20:53 PST. The quake’s epicenter was located 30 kilometers east of Barkhan, with a depth of 25 kilometers and coordinates of 29.90 °N latitude and 69.83 °E longitude.

 

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), tremors were felt in Barkhan, Musakhel, and surrounding areas, causing panic among residents. However, no immediate reports of casualties or damage have been reported.

The earthquake is a reminder of the region’s seismic vulnerability, with frequent tectonic activity. Authorities are monitoring the situation, and emergency services are on high alert.
