News Desk: National Party President Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said that Sariab has been deliberately kept underdeveloped for decades under a systematic agenda, depriving its people of basic facilities, quality education and opportunities for progress.

Speaking to National Party officials, workers and local elders at the residence of Malik Faisal Shahwani, Dr Baloch said that education—particularly quality and technical education—is the only effective path through which the people of Sariab can safeguard their political, social and economic rights. Provincial Farmers Secretary Haji Farooq Shahwani also addressed the gathering.

Dr Baloch welcomed the joining of Malik Faisal Shahwani, Malik Shahryar Shahwani and their associates into the National Party, calling it a vote of confidence in the party’s national politics and leadership. He said Sariab and Mastung have historically been strongholds of national consciousness and nationalism, but were intentionally weakened to keep the population politically ineffective.

He emphasized that the National Party does not believe in opportunistic or short-term politics, but stands for ideology, principles and the people’s right to rule. He added that the party’s political philosophy is rooted in the intellectual and ideological development of political workers.

Dr Abdul Malik Baloch said Balochistan is often viewed merely as a geographical area rather than as a national and political entity, leading to unjust decisions that harm the province. He also described the issue of missing persons as a grave humanitarian crisis that has affected nearly every household in Balochistan.

Reaffirming the party’s commitment to democratic and political struggle, he said only organized political forces can guarantee national survival and the protection of public rights.

Senior National Party leaders and local notables, including Dr Ishaq Baloch, Ali Ahmed Lango, Nasrullah Shahwani, Haji Waheed Shahwani and several others, were also present on the occasion.
