Quetta: Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has ordered that FIRs be registered against fake degree holders serving in government departments, stating that no compromise will be made on merit, transparency, and rule of law.

The directive was issued while presiding over a high-level meeting to review the six-month performance of provincial departments and the progress of ongoing development projects. The Chief Minister said the use of fake academic credentials undermines institutional credibility and deprives deserving candidates of their rightful opportunities.

CM Balochistan directed the Education Department and relevant authorities to conduct thorough verification of academic degrees, particularly in contractual recruitments, and ensure 100 percent merit-based hiring. He warned that officials found facilitating or protecting fake degree holders would also face strict disciplinary and legal action.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of good governance and accountability, directing all departments to strengthen internal monitoring mechanisms. He also instructed departments to expedite the resolution of public complaints and ensure timely completion of development projects, stating that delays would not be tolerated.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the provincial government’s top priority is public welfare, adding that transparent governance and strict adherence to merit are essential for restoring public confidence in state institutions.
