News Desk: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has strongly condemned the suicide blast that struck an imambargah in Islamabad’s Tarlai locality during Friday prayers, describing the attack as a barbaric and cowardly act of terrorism.
In a statement issued on Friday, the chief minister expressed profound grief over the loss of innocent lives and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. He said that targeting worshippers during a sacred congregation reflected the ruthless mindset of terrorists linked to the Fitna Khawarij, who aim to destabilize peace, religious harmony, and tolerance in the country.
Bugti reaffirmed that the people and government of Balochistan stand in full solidarity with the bereaved families and pray for the swift recovery of those injured in the attack. He added that such heinous acts cannot shake the nation’s resolve in the fight against terrorism.
The chief minister stressed that the entire nation and its security institutions remain united and determined to eradicate terrorism. He vowed that the perpetrators will not be allowed to achieve their malicious objectives, and that law enforcement agencies will continue their counterterrorism operations with full strength to ensure lasting peace and stability across Pakistan.
