Mujeeb ur Rehman posted as Secretary Food Balochistan

News Desk: The Government of Balochistan has announced the temporary closure of educational institutions across the province as a precautionary step in response to the evolving regional situation and potential transport challenges.

According to an official notification issued by the Balochistan School Education Department, all public and private schools across the province will remain closed from March 9 to March 23, 2026. Authorities said the decision was taken to ensure administrative preparedness and to minimize difficulties related to transportation and movement of students and staff.

The department clarified that several ongoing initiatives will continue despite the closure. The province-wide school admission campaign, the digital census of schools, and examinations that are already scheduled will proceed as planned. Relevant officials and administrative staff have been instructed to ensure these activities continue in accordance with departmental guidelines.

In a separate notification, the Balochistan Colleges, Higher and Technical Education Department also ordered the closure of all government intermediate colleges, degree colleges, technical institutes, and public sector universities in the province.

Officials said the decision was taken in view of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and the possible disruption in fuel supply that could affect transportation and academic operations.

Under the notification, colleges and universities will remain closed from March 10 to March 23, 2026. During this period, all academic, teaching, and administrative activities at these institutions will remain suspended.

The provincial government said the measure is aimed at ensuring public convenience and maintaining administrative readiness while monitoring the evolving regional situation.
