Web Desk: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) organized the National Security and Strategic Leadership Workshop 2026, bringing together vice chancellors, senior faculty members, deans, and registrars from more than 200 universities across Pakistan.
The workshop, held in Rawalpindi, also witnessed online participation from academic representatives in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Muzaffarabad, Multan, and Quetta.

During a special session, Director General ISPR engaged with vice chancellors and senior academicians on key issues related to Pakistan’s internal situation, particularly national security challenges.
Participants stated that the Pakistan Army has played a commendable role in safeguarding the country’s defense, stability, and security. They said Pakistan achieved a major victory in “Marka-e-Haq” due to the sacrifices and professionalism of the armed forces.

The participants expressed confidence that the country’s defense is in strong hands and noted that not only the people of Azad Kashmir but also those in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir take pride in the Pakistan Army.
Academicians attending the workshop said they received clear guidance on protecting students from negative propaganda and ensuring the dissemination of accurate information. They added that academia was provided comprehensive awareness regarding national security, information warfare, and challenges facing the country.
Participants termed the coordination between academia and the armed forces a vital need of the time and highly appreciated ISPR’s initiative of bringing vice chancellors and academic leaders together on a single platform.
