QUETTA: Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau remained safe after his convoy came under armed attack in Mastung while travelling from Kalat to Quetta, officials said.

According to officials, armed men opened fire on the minister’s security escort. The Home Minister was unharmed, while three Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF) personnel—Nasrullah, Samiullah and Zakariya—were injured in the exchange of fire.

The injured guards were initially taken to Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Hospital in Mastung and later shifted to Quetta for further treatment.

Officials said all three injured personnel are in stable condition and out of danger.
