​QUETTA — Five traders from Punjab were abducted at gunpoint by unidentified armed men in the Killa Abdullah district of Balochistan late Monday night, a senior police official confirmed on condition of anonymity.
​The kidnapping took place in the Gardi Panki area of Tehsil Gulistan. The victims—five local traders from Punjab—had arrived at a farm to load a shipment of melons. While loading the fruit, five assailants riding motorcycles suddenly appeared and forcibly carried them away.
​The abducted traders have been identified as:
​Inam Raza
​Baqir Hussain
​Muhammad Adnan
​Muhammad Shehzad
​Muhammad Adnan (Azan)
​All five men belong to the Gopang Baloch tribe and are residents of the Dera Ghazi Khan district in Punjab.
​Authorities stated that while full details of the abduction remain scarce, law enforcement agencies are actively gathering intelligence to trace the missing men and identify the perpetrators.
​This incident highlights a growing security threat for laborers and business workers operating in Balochistan. Hostile elements in the province have repeatedly targeted individuals from Punjab through identity-card checks, targeted attacks, and abductions.
