QUETTA (Oct 10) — In a major intelligence-based operation, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) neutralized 10 terrorists belonging to the “Fitna al-Hindustan” network in the Barkhan district of Balochistan.
​Confirming the operation, Adviser to the Chief Minister of Balochistan for Information and Political Affairs, Shahid Rind, stated that CTD personnel executed the targeted raid in the Rara Sham area of Barkhan following verified intelligence inputs.
​A large cache of heavy weapons, arms, and ammunition was recovered from the slain militants at the site. Shahid Rind also noted that two CTD personnel sustained injuries during the heavy exchange of fire and are currently receiving medical treatment.
​Reaffirming the provincial government’s zero-tolerance stance on extremism, Shahid Rind emphasized that security forces, police, and the CTD remain fully committed to eradicating terrorist networks, adding that counter-terrorism operations across Balochistan will continue until the threat is completely eliminated.
