QUETTA : In a major crackdown against online predators, Quetta police have arrested a three-member gang allegedly involved in trapping, blackmailing, and sexually exploiting underage boys.

According to a spokesperson for the Quetta Police, the operation was conducted by personnel from the Brewery Police Station. The arrested suspects have been identified as Amir Ahmed (son of Barat Khan), Numan (son of Muhammad Rasool, resident of Killi Nawa), and Hikmatullah (son of Yar Muhammad, resident of Ittehad Colony).

Preliminary investigations reveal that the gang used social media platforms and mobile communications to contact minor boys. After establishing contact online, the suspects would entice the victims to designated locations, record compromising videos, and subsequently blackmail them into further sexual exploitation.

Police have registered a formal case against all three individuals, and legal proceedings are currently underway. Authorities added that further investigations are being carried out to uncover additional aspects of the case and identify potential remaining victims.
