Usman Kakar’s condition critical after cerebral artery ruptures

QUETTA: Senior leader of Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP), Usman Khan Kakar has fallen and sustained head injury as his cerebral artery ruptured. According to party leader and former provincial minister Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, Usman Kakar was at his home in Quetta on Thursday when his cerebral artery ruptured. Kakar was rushed to the hospital soon after the incident.
“Doctors describe his condition stable than yesterday”, Qadir Agha, a senior party leader told Quetta Voice via phone. A team of doctors continuously conducting his checkups, he added.
Kakar airlifted from Quetta to Karachi
Former Senator airlifted from Quetta to Karachi for medical treatment. Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah had spoken to PKMAP Chief, Mehmood Khan Achazkai and conveyed the message of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Sindh government provided official treatment to Mr. Kakar in Aga Khan hospital Karachi.
CM Sindh and other PPP leaders also visited the hospital and inquired about the health condition of Usman Kakar.
CM Balochistan
Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has also assured all possible support regarding the treatment of Usman Khan Kakar. “Balochistan government is ready to provide all possible support regarding the treatment of Usman Kakar”, Jam Kamal said in a video released to the press on Sunday night.
Kakar the most popular leader after Achakzai
Usman Khan Kakar is considered to be the most popular leader within PKMAP after Mehmood Khan Achakzai, the party chief. He belongs to Killa Saifullah’s Muslim Bagh Tehsil. Mr. Kakar passed his LLB from Law College Quetta in 1987.
Kakar started political struggle three decades ago
Three decades ago, Usman Kakar started his political struggle from the platform of the Pashtoonkhwa Students Organization (PSO). As a student, he was associated with the PSO too.
In March 2015, Kakar elected as a member of the Senate of Pakistan. He also fought the election of the deputy chairman senate in 2018. PML N and other mainstream opposition parties backed Mr. Kakar during the voting. However, he lost the election deputy chairman senate.
