Border trade to be resumed soon: CM Balochistan

TURBAT: Chief Minister Balochistan, Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has announced resuming border trade with Iran soon to facilitate the people. “After consultation with all stakeholders, trade activities would be resumed”, Mr. Bizenjo told a high-level meeting on Monday.
The CM arrived in Turbat and chaired a high-level meeting regarding law and order and ongoing development projects in district Kech. Balochistan Minister for Planning and Development (P&D), Mir Zahoor Buledi, Health Minister, Syed Ehsan Shah, Public Health Engineer Adviser Lala Rasheed, and others also participated in the meeting. Commander 12-Corps, Lieutenant General Sarfaraz Ali, Chief Secretary Mathar Niaz Rana and others were also present in the meeting.
CM Bizenjo informed that the token system for the people associated with the oil business was being removed so that people living on both sides of the border could easily move with their national identity cards. He stated that the jobs of people living on the coastal belt of the country were linked with fisheries and the government was making all-out efforts to facilitate the fishermen.
Illegal trawling in Gwadar
Chief Minister Balochistan mentioned that instructions were given to Pakistan Navy, Maritime Security, and Fisheries Department to stop illegal trawling. “We want to protect the rights of fishermen”, Mr. Bizenjo assured.
He said the fisheries department was taking all possible steps to address the grievances of the fishermen. Regarding the ongoing sit-in in Gwadar, Mr. Bizenjo informed that the government has addressed almost all issues of the protesters. He said his government was determined to address the genuine concerns of the people of the country’s port city. The CM said the number of check posts was decreased in Gwadar and a ban was also imposed on wine licenses in the port city.
CM approves Rs. 260 million for MRI and CT Scan at Turbat
Chief Minister approved the release of Rs. 260 million for the purchase of MRI and CT Scan machines for civil hospital Turbat. He said the government would not leave any stone unturned in addressing the grievances of the masses.
