Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo, and Commander 12-Corps, Lieutenant General Sarfaraz Ali arrived in Zhob on Saturday to review operations for extinguishing the Sherani forest fire.
Federal Minister for Housing, Maulana Abdul Wasey, and other high-level officials also accompanied them. Officials of the forest and wildlife department are briefing the CM and Commander about the scale of the fire and the operation underway to put off the flames of fire.
Roaring flames of fire have burnt ancient pine and olive trees in Koh e Suleman Sherani forest. The fire erupted in Mughal Kot area in Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa on May 9. The fire entered the Balochistan side of the Sherani district on May 13.
