Spokesperson government of Balochistan, Ms. Farah Azeem Shah has said that the government has upgraded 100 primary health centers to the status of basic health units (BHUs) plus across the province. “The government has also upgraded 30 rural health centers”, she told media on Friday in Quetta.
The Spokesperson reiterated that improving education and health sectors were top priorities of the present government. She said the provincial cabinet has decided to allocate substantial funds for the two sectors to ensure the provision of quality medical treatment and education to the people.

“Our government goes beyond words and does something practical”, Ms. Shah claimed. She said the Chief Minister Mir Quddus Bizenjo was fully aware of the difficulties of the masses in terms of the acquisition of medical treatment. That’s why we have upgraded primacy health centers to address the grievances of the masses.
Balochistan spends a substantial amount on the health sector. However, government-run hospitals paint a bleak picture despite the government’s claims and announcements.
