QUETTA: Pakistani YIWU Community comprising Pakistani and other nationals living in China provided relief goods to the flood-affected people in the Hanna Urak area of Quetta.
Evo Community distributed 45 packages of food items in Killi Atalzai, Hana Urak, Quetta’s famous tourist point. This community is run by overseas Pakistanis working in China. Their aim is to provide basic needs to the flood-affected people in Balochistan and also in Peshawar.
Torrential rains followed by merciless waves of floods adversely affected the lives of people in Balochistan. A large number of mud-walled and concrete-built houses are heavily damaged and even some are completely swept away by the floods.
Many people are left shelterless in the province. The government doesn’t have the potential to help the affected people or fulfill their needs. Food security is nowadays a big problem in most of the flood-affected areas of Balochistan.
“We will try our best to reach out to the people who are in desperate need of the support”, Mr. Shah Zaman, the Food distribution chairman told the daily Quetta Voice while distributing the packages.
The community stated that they got motivation from social media to help the people in desperate need of food and shelter in Balochistan.
Each package contained Wheat, Sugar, pulses, cooking oil, etc. Shah Jahan, Naseem Khan, Wali Muhammad, and Shariq were also among the distribution members of the community. The members of the Evo community aimed to further increase their relief activities in Balochistan and Peshawar.
