Secretary Finance Balochistan, Noor ul Haq Baloch giving away loans cheaques to needy and deserving youth in Quetta

The Balochistan government launched an interest-free loan scheme for unemployed and deserving people in Quetta to support the needy people. Secretary Finance Balochistan, Noor ul Haq Baloch launched the scheme during a function held in Quetta on Friday.

The interests-free loan scheme has been launched in Quetta on the directives of chief minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan with Akhuwat organization, a non-governmental organization.

Chief of Akhuwat organization, Amjad Saqib, and other officials also participated in the launching ceremony. Initially, Rs.19,20,000 were distributed among the needy, deserving, and unemployed people of Balochistan.

“This program will help the people to increase their income and start their own business”, Noor ul Haq Baloch mentioned on the occasion. He said since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus the chief minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan-led government was determined to support the needy and deserving people in this time of trial.

Under this scheme, loan would be distributed among 25,000 families so that they could develop their own income, Mr. Baloch said.

This is a purely interests-free loan, which enable the marginalized class to increase their income and improve their living standard, Dr.  Amjad Saqib, the Chief of Akhuwat Foundation mentioned on the occasion.

The Finance Secretary however stated that the government was also keenly focusing on the promotion of agriculture and livestock sectors to improve the living standard of the people.
