Tech Valley Pakistan is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with five different departments of the Government of Balochsitan to distribute Google Career Certificates Scholarships in the region. This is Tech Valley Pakistan’s first collaboration with the Government of Balochistan which includes a partnership with Colleges, Higher and Technical Education Departments, Education Department, Science, Informaion and Technology Departments, Labor and Manpower Department, Industries and Commerce Department and Health Department.

The MOU signing marks a significant milestone in Tech Valley Pakistan’s efforts to empower individuals and communities through digital education and skill development in Pakistan. As part of the partnership, Tech Valley Pakistan will be working closely with the all these departments of Balochistan to provide access to high-quality digital education and skill development programs.

The program includes hands-on practice, mentorship and assessments

During the ceremony, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Abdul Aziz Uquaili, mentioned, “I want to recognize the efforts of Tech Valley, Google Career Certificates program and all of our departments especially our Information Secretary Hamza Shafqaat who made this partnership possible today. Through this program, our goal to provide access to high-quality training and certification programs that can help our graduates compete in the fast-paced and dynamic tech industry.”

The Google Career Certificates program is a flexible, self-paced online training program that can prepare learners for careers in various high-growth fields. The program includes specialized training, assessments, mentorship sessions, and hands-on practical experience. Additionally, the program is taught and developed by Google employees with decades of experience in these fields.

“We aim to uplift the youth of Balochistan by providing them access to latest digital tools and certifications. With the support of Tech Valley Pakistan, we can help our learners gain access to cutting-edge digital education and skill development programs that can prepare them for the job market.” said Hamza Shafqaat, Information Secretary, Government of Balochistan.

Scholarships will be provided for globally recognized certifications in job-ready skills like Project Management, UI/UX Design, Digital Marketing and E-commerce, IT Support and Automation, Data Analytics and Cybersecurity.
