The Corona Cell Balochistan confirmed 87 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus on Saturday as the tally has reached 2,544 in the province. The virus has caused 36 deaths so far in the province.

The health department has conducted over 17,000 tests until now in the province, Waseem Baig, the Spokesman of the Corona Cell told the daily Quetta Voice.

Mr. Baig informed that 427 patients have recovered from the deadly virus. Most of the patients have recovered from the virus as their homes during isolation. Serious patients have been admitted to Fatima Jinnah Chest and TB Hospital Quetta for medical treatment.

The virus has affected 20 districts including Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan. Quetta, Pishin, Killa Abdullah, Mastung and Jaffarabad have been hit hard by the virus that spreads fast in the province.

Cases of novel coronavirus have been confirmed in Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Zhob, and other districts of Balochistan.
