ISLAMABAD: Central Amir Jamiat ul Ulema e Islam (JUI), Maulana Fazal ur Rehman, and Balochistan National Party (BNP), Sardar Akhtar Mengal discussed the prevailing political situation in Balochistan on Wednesday. The two leaders discussed the nomination of a caretaker chief minister in Balochistan. Sources close to Maulana Fazal ur Rehman told Daily Quetta Voice that no breakthrough was made in the meeting.
Sardar Akhtar Mengal urged the Maulana to field a joint candidate for the position of caretaker CM in Balochistan. However, no consensus was developed in this regard.
