QUETTA: Balochistan Caretaker Information Minister, Jan Achakzai on Thursday said Caretaker Prime Minister, Anwaar ul Haq Kakar has promised to provide 100 green buses for Quetta to provide decent transport facilities to the masses.

Official vehicles to be recovered from former ministers: Achakzai
In response to a question about 200 missing official vehicles, the minister said the Home and tribal affairs department Balochistan has been directed to ensure the recovery of the vehicles from former ministers, advisers and coordinators. “If they do not return vehicles, then articles 62 and 63 can be applied against them,” the minister said.
Transparency to be ensured in recruitment
To a question about the pending orders of youth in different departments, he said the government has already taken notice of this issue and efforts were on to ensure transparency and merit in recruitment. “Vacancies were sold and people were forced to sell out their properties for that”, he lamented. This practice must be stopped, he added.
When asked about the shortage of medicines in hospitals, he said this was not acceptable and the government would ensure the availability of medicines and action would be taken against absent doctors. “Health and education are our top priorities”, he added.
