Syed Ali Shah: QUETTA: Police registered cases against Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) supporters and leaders for taking out rallies without the official permission.

Police sources said PTI candidates including Salar Khan Kakar, the party’s candidate for NA 263,  Dawood Shahwani and other leaders were booked for taking out rallies without the official permission.

Cases were registered at the Gwalmandi Police Station, Jinnah Town and City Police Station. The former ruling party violated the law and blocked roads and created problems for masses, police sources said.

Sources in the elections commission said if the accused candidates failed to get bail from courts, then they would be out of elections.

PTI supporters and leaders marched on roads of the provincial capital to mobilise supporters for the fast approaching general elections in the country.

The party had repeatedly accused the government of creating speed breakers in its way to what it calls giving a level playing field for the other political parties.
