QUETTA: Security forces thwarted three major terror attacks at the Central Jail Mach Bolan. Jan Achakzai, the Balochistan Caretaker Information Minister said five terrorists were also neutralized when security forces timely retaliated.
However, levies sources said a sub-inspector of police identified as Sajid Solangi was also martyred in the attack. They said six shops and a private hotel were also severely damaged in the attack.
The outlawed Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack.
Thick Black Smoke Rising From The Spot: Eye Witnesses
Eyewitnesses say thick black smoke was also rising from the spot of the attack. However, Jan Achakzai said three major terrorist bids were foiled and now the situation was under control.
Residents of the area were confined to their homes in the aftermath of the terrorist attack. Huge security deployment after the attack, levies sources said.
Levies sources said several people were also injured in the attack. Videos shared on social media show injured being rushed to nearby hospitals.
13 Injured Brought To Quetta
Waseem Baig, the Spokesman of the Civil Hospital said 13 injured in the Mach incident were brought to the Trauma Centre for medical treatment.
“After successfully neutralizing the RAW-operated attackers, the final clearance operation in Mach is still underway. The situation in the area has been stabilized,” Achakzai said on social media platform X.
He added that the “unwavering determination” of security forces led to the “elimination of seven terrorists, as confirmed by their handlers who acknowledged the demise of four of their comrades.
