Secretary health Balochistan, Dostain Jamaldini has said that new doctors would be appointed on a priority basis in the province to overcome the lack of doctors’ problem. Mr. Jamaldini expressed these views while talking to reporters at Fatima Jinnah Chest and General Hospital Quetta.

The Secretary health inaugurated the installation of the latest machinery at the hospital on Sunday evening. The latest and modern machinery has been installed at the hospital to conduct tests of seriously ill corona patients within ten minutes.

“The government has decided to recruit doctors to improve health facilities in the province”, Mr. Jamaldini stated. The government has already created 941 vacancies for doctors to tackle the post-corona situation in Balochistan.

The Secretary health however demanded of the people to adopt social distancing to avoid the spread of the novel coronavirus. Though, he expressed serious concern that the virus was spreading fast.

He urged upon the people to take their patients to hospital timely prior to deterioration of their condition. “Patients need to be brought to the hospital on time”, Mr. Jamaldini stated.

So far, Balochistan has confirmed over 6,500 cases of the novel coronavirus since the outbreak of the pandemic. “Cases appear to be rise as people have been ignoring standard operating procedure”, he said.
