Dawood Ahmed:

Islamabad – October 18, 2024 – Sardar Akhtar Mengal, head of the Balochistan National Party (BNP), plans to return to Pakistan in response to the country’s shifting political dynamics, sources revealed on Thursday.

Mengal had resigned from the National Assembly in protest and left Pakistan prior to recent constitutional changes.

Mengal is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad tomorrow from Dubai and will decide his next course of action after discussions with his party. Recently, he raised concerns on social media, alleging that two BNP senators were being coerced for not supporting the amendments. “If this persists, we may ask both senators to step down,” he warned.

In a related incident, Islamabad police reportedly visited Mengal’s residence at the Parliament Lodges. BNP’s acting president, Sajid Tareen, condemned the action, accusing the police of attempting to pressure the party into compliance, which he vowed would not happen.
