QUETTA: The Balochistan government has announced three days of official mourning following the tragic suicide bombing at Quetta Railway Station, which claimed 26 lives and left around 60 people injured.

A notification from the Services and General Administration Department on Sunday confirmed that mourning will be observed from November 11 to November 13.

The deadly blast, which struck a crowded platform, has left dozens still battling for their lives in hospitals. Doctors have described the condition of several injured individuals as critical, and families remain in deep distress.

In response to the attack, security measures across Quetta have been significantly increased to prevent further incidents. Security forces have ramped up their presence around key areas of the city, with intensified monitoring and checkpoints established at major entry and exit points.

The three-day mourning period reflects the grief felt across Balochistan, with flags at government buildings flown at half-mast as citizens pay their respects to the victims of this devastating act of terrorism.
