ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has introduced a groundbreaking digital solution, ePayment 2.0, as part of its commitment to modernizing Pakistan’s tax infrastructure.

Now available on the IRIS 2.0 portal, ePayment 2.0 streamlines the tax payment process, enabling taxpayers to complete payments securely and easily online.

This advanced system eliminates the need for physical bank visits, allowing payments directly through internet banking, ATMs, and mobile banking.

With ePayment 2.0, FBR has unified all tax payment functions within IRIS 2.0, covering Income Tax, Sales Tax, Federal Excise Duty, and Withholding Taxes. Unlike the old system, which required taxpayers to switch between portals, this upgraded platform offers a seamless, user-friendly interface.

Taxpayers generate a unique Payment Slip ID (PSID) and complete transactions via Alternate Delivery Channels (ADC), receiving an official Computerized Payment Receipt (CPR) instantly through email and SMS. This streamlined workflow ensures transparency and reduces errors, benefiting both registered and unregistered taxpayers.

Inaugurated by Ms. Aisha Farooq, Director General (IT&DT), at PRAL Headquarters in Islamabad, the ePayment System reinforces FBR’s dedication to fostering a business-friendly tax environment. The integrated platform allows taxpayers to track PSID records and manage compliance with ease, aligning with the government’s vision for a digitally progressive Pakistan.

With ePayment 2.0, FBR reaffirms its commitment to user convenience and efficiency, supporting taxpayers across Pakistan with a modern, automated tax system that simplifies compliance. This initiative not only enhances the taxpayer experience but also strengthens FBR’s leadership in digital tax administration, promoting a more accessible, streamlined tax payment process.
