QUETTA: The 148th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was celebrated with fervor across Pakistan on Wednesday, with political parties, civil society, and government departments organizing events to honor the founder of the nation. Functions were also held in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan.

Women, children, and people from all walks of life participated in various gatherings, paying tribute to Quaid-e-Azam’s vision and leadership that led to the creation of Pakistan on August 14, 1947.

A prominent event was held at the Governor’s House in Quetta, where Governor Sheikh Jafar Mandokhail presided over the occasion. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the importance of Jinnah’s principles of unity, faith, and discipline.

“Quaid-e-Azam’s unwavering commitment to justice and equality serves as a guiding light for us. It is our responsibility to uphold his vision for a progressive and prosperous Pakistan,” Governor Mandokhail stated.

He further highlighted the Quaid’s tireless efforts in securing independence for the Muslims of the subcontinent and urged the nation to work towards achieving the ideals of the founding father.

The day concluded with prayers for the country’s prosperity and a renewed pledge to follow the principles of Muhammad Ali Jinnah to strengthen Pakistan.
