Prime Minister, Imran Khan has directed the implementation of a 6 percent job quota of Balochistan to bring the province at par with other provinces of the country. Implementation of a 6 percent quota has been a longstanding demand of people of Balochistan for a long time.

The Prime Minister has directed all ministries to make sure implementation of a 6 percent job quota of Balochistan on priority basis, an official statement said while quoting the Premier.

Speaker National Assembly, Asad Qaiser also chaired a meeting of the parliamentary committee established regarding Balochistan on Saturday. MNAs Fehmida Mirza, Agha Hassan Baloch of BNP Mengal, Abdul Qadir Patel of PPP and deputy speaker national assembly, Qasim Suri also participated in the meeting.

The committee would prepare recommendations with regard to issues relating to Balochistan. The committee has also discussed a constitutional amendment proposed by BNP Chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal.
