Quetta (Staff Reporter) – Over 32,000 Afghan refugees have been deported from Balochistan, according to sources in the Home Department. The deportation process, which includes both involuntary and voluntary returns, continues at a fast pace.

Authorities report that 1,000 to 1,500 individuals are being repatriated daily. The returnees include Afghan nationals who have been illegally residing in different parts of Balochistan, as well as those who have voluntarily opted to return to Afghanistan.

The majority of deportations are taking place through the Chaman and Barabcha border points. Officials have confirmed that deported individuals are being provided with medical checkups, transportation, and other essential facilities to ensure a safe return.

Sources also revealed that a number of these refugees had previously migrated from Sindh and had settled in various districts of Balochistan.

The Afghan repatriation process is part of a broader effort by Pakistani authorities to regulate undocumented migration and manage border security. Officials emphasize that the operation is being conducted with humanitarian assistance and logistical support.
