Blast martyrs 7, injured 30 in Quetta

A powerful blast martyred seven people including two policemen and injured 30 people in Quetta’s Adalat road on Monday evening. Razzaq Cheema, the deputy inspector general of police Quetta said the suicide bomber targeted the rally of a religious party. “Initial investigation suggests it was a suicide attack”, Cheema said.
Injured in the blast rushed to civil hospital Quetta
The bomb exploded when the activists of a religious group were gathering outside QPC. The blast heard far and wide causing panic in the city. The injured rushed to a nearby civil hospital for medical treatment.
Cheema mentioned that two policemen were among the dead whereas two were among the injured. A bomb disposal squad reached the spot as investigation into the incident went underway.
Waseem Baig told Quetta Voice that 30 injured in the blast brought to civil hospital Quetta for medical treatment. An emergency imposed in the hospital to treat the injured of the blast. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
Panic prevailed in the city
Panic prevailed in the city after the blast. Shopkeepers pulled down their shutters on Qandahari Bazar, Jinnah road, and nearby areas. Police, Frontier Corps personnel reached the spot and sealed the area. None allowed to witness the spot as investigators started a search through debris to probe into the terror act.
