Quetta generates 1,200kgs solid waste every day

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has declared polythene bags producing factories unlawful and banned in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan. The decision has been taken in the aftermath of imposing a ban on use, sale, purchase of polythene bags in Quetta city and other parts of Balochistan.

The NOCs issued to four polythene bags producing factories in Quetta have been canceled and withdrawn by the EPA, a notification issued by the EPA stated on Friday. Your NOCs for production of so-called production of degradable polythene bags are withdrawn and you are directed to stop the production after receiving of this order, the EPA notification warned the owners.
