Quetta, July 15 — Law enforcement agencies have arrested another suspect involved in the kidnapping and murder of young Musawir Khan Kakar from Quetta. The latest development was shared during a joint press conference by DIG Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Aitzaz Goraya and Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind.

According to DIG CTD Aitzaz Goraya, the arrested suspect, identified as Hisham, has confessed to his involvement in the crime. The investigation so far confirms that the proscribed militant group ISIS (Daesh) was behind the kidnapping and murder.

“The government and all concerned institutions deeply regret that we couldn’t recover Musawir safely,” said DIG Goraya. “However, we assure the public that every single person involved in this heinous crime will be brought to justice.”

During the press briefing, a confessional video statement from the arrested terrorist was also presented to the media.

Musawir Khan Kakar, a minor boy from Quetta, was abducted on November 15, 2024. His body was tragically discovered on June 23, 2025, in the Spilinji area of Mastung district. Musawir Khan Kakar’s father was also present at the press conference, visibly shaken by the recent developments.
