The Balochistan government has decided to take action against ghost employees in all departments. Spokesman government of Balochistan, Liaquat Shahwani in a tweet mentioned that chief minister, Jam Kamal Khan has directed all commissioners to take action against ghost employees.

In the first phase, the action is being taken against ghost employees in education and health departments in Balochistan, he stated. Apart from launching crack-down against fake domicile holders, the government has also planned to bring the ghost employees to book, Mr. Shahwani said.

In education department, the number of ghost teachers is stated to be in thousands. Former secretary education, Tayyab Lehri had suspended over 2500 teachers on the suspicion of being ghosts and chronic absentees.

This decision has come after the chief minister directed all deputy commissioners of 33 districts to verify domiciles’ certificates of government employees. The deputy commissioner Mastung had canceled around 400 fake domiciles. Thus, all deputy commissioners have issued notices to the domicile holders to get their domiciles verified from concerned offices.
