Quetta: Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court, Justice Kamran Khan Mullakhail, conducted an inspection visit of various Chief Minister Development Package projects in Quetta and reviewed progress on key infrastructure and traffic management initiatives aimed at providing relief to citizens.
During the visit, the Chief Justice emphasized the need to ensure smooth traffic flow across the city and directed the concerned authorities to take effective measures for public convenience and urban mobility. He also issued instructions to accelerate drainage work following recent rains to prevent water accumulation and inconvenience to residents.
Project Director Quetta Development Project, Engineer Rafiq Baloch, gave a detailed briefing to the Chief Justice regarding ongoing development schemes. He informed that after the expansion of Inscomb Road, traffic distribution has significantly improved, resulting in a notable reduction in traffic pressure on Zarghoon Road. According to the briefing, approximately 20,000 to 22,000 vehicles are being diverted daily from Inscomb Road, leading to smoother traffic flow on M.A. Jinnah Road.
The Project Director further stated that road expansion projects are in their final stages, with construction work completed up to Science College Chowk. To further enhance traffic management, it was also decided to install additional traffic cameras across the city for improved monitoring and regulation.
Chief Justice Justice Kamran Khan Mullakhail also inspected drainage and development works at Imdad Chowk, expressing satisfaction over the progress while directing authorities to ensure timely completion and quality standards.
The visit highlights the judiciary’s keen interest in monitoring urban development, traffic management, and public welfare projects in Quetta to ensure transparency, efficiency, and maximum relief for citizens.
