Staff Reporter:

QUETTA – Inspector General of Prisons Captain (R) Asim Khan has ordered the immediate termination of ten department employees following an extensive review into unauthorized, long-term absences from their posts.

According to a press release issued by the Balochistan Prisons Department, the dismissals were finalized after completing all required legal and administrative protocols. Formal termination orders were issued on October 30, 2026, under the provisions of the Balochistan Employees Efficiency and Discipline Act, 2011.

Emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy toward workplace negligence, IG Captain (R) Asim Khan made it clear that strict discipline, regular attendance, and the dedicated performance of official duty remain uncompromisable across the province’s correctional facilities.

”There will be no compromise on discipline, regular attendance, and the timely execution of public duties,” IG Captain (R) Asim Khan stated. He warned that strict action under the law will be taken across the board against any staff member engaging in dereliction of duty, unauthorized absence, or rule violations.

The decisive move underscores ongoing efforts by provincial authorities to maintain strict accountability and professional standards within public service departments.
