Levies Force foils terror bid in Kohlu

Levies Force foiled a major terrorism bid in Kohlu district of Balochistan province. Levies conducted a raid in Mawand tehsil of Kohlu district and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition. “Major terror bid foiled during the raid”, the Deputy Commissioner Kohlu Sheikh Naseerullah told a press conference. Senior Levies officials flanked him on the occasion.
Miscreants had dumped weapons in Mawand area to carry out subversive activities in Kohlu and other parts of Balochistan. “Levies conducted raid on intelligence report and foiled terror plan”, the Deputy Commissioner informed. The weapons seized during the raid also displayed before the media. Levies quickly retaliated to seize the weapons dumped in a deserted area of Mawand tehsil, the Deputy Commissioner stated.
Remote-Controlled bombs, mortar shells, explosive recovered
Levies recovered remote-controlled bomb, mortar shells, explosive materials and thousands of rounds during the action, he said. He said no arrest made during the action since the miscreants had fled from the area. Levies force has intensified actions against the miscreants in Kohlu and other parts of Balochistan to eradicate terrorism.
“Such actions would continue to wipe out terrorists from the area”, Sheikh Naseerullah warned. The weapons were made in Russia and India.
Kohlu is the most sensitive district of Balochistan province
Kohlu is one of the sensitive districts of Balochistan province. Miscreants in the past have carried a series of attacks against security forces, pro-government politicians and vital national installations. However, violent attacks decreased following successful actions by security forces in the area.
“We have tightened security in and around the district”, Sheikh Naseerullah mentioned. Levies personnel deployed at all exit and entry points of Kohlu district to ensure peace and avert any untoward incident.
