Professional Panel Wins 4, Vokla Panel 3 Seats in BBC Elections

QUETTA: Professional Panel won 4 seats and Vokla Panel won 3 seats during the elections of Balochistan Bar Council. According to the final results, the professional panel’s Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar Advocate, Ayub Tareen Advocate, Rahib Buledi Advocate, Qasim Khan Gajezai won BBC seats.

However, Shakeel and Vokla panel’s Khalil Panez Advocate, Najam Uddin Mengal Advocate, and Qari Rehmatullah Kakar Advocate won BBC seats. In Quetta, out of a total of 1058 voters, 952 voters cast their votes during the BBC elections held on November 28.

As per the BBC results, Munir Kakar won from Chaman-Zhob seat, Qasim Gajezai advocate from Mekran and Rahib Buledi from Sibi division. Votes of Ayub Tareen advocate and Akbar Shah advocate were equal. On Friday, Mr. Tareen won the election in a lucky draw conducted in the presence of all senior lawyers and advocate general Balochistan, Arbab Tahir Advocate.

Former president Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), Amanullah Kanrani advocate has congratulated the newly elected members and expressed the hope that they will play their role for rule of law in the country. Senior lawyer, Ishaq Khan Nasar advocate has also expressed the hope that the new body would play its role for the supremacy of the constitution.
