Matric examinations 2021 in Balochistan to commence from on 9

QUETTA: Annual matric examinations 2021 in Balochistan would commence on April 9. A total of 1,26,000 male and female students would appear in the examination, Shaukat Ali Sarpara, the controller of Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE) told daily Quetta Voice.
The BBISE has established 380 centers across all 34 districts of the province, Mr. Sarpara informed. “Strategy evolved to tackle the issue of cheating in examinations”, the BBISE Controller mentioned.
Since the outbreak of the COVID19, this is for the first time that the BBISE is holding the matric examinations in Balochistan. Last year, the board passed the students on the basis of the general assessment.
“Strict instructions issued to examination staff against cheating”, the Controller said.
Influential students manage to get high marks
In Balochistan, influential students always manage to get high marks. Whereas, the competent students subsequently suffer and fail to get the required marks. “No matter whether you study or not just have good links in the board”, Muhammad Aslam, a student lamented.
The Controller however disagreed and said the BBISE committed to eradicating the curse of cheating from Balochistan. When asked about teachers’ duties in exams, he dispelled the impression that influential teachers succeed in getting posted.
Although, most of the influential students manage to select their desired examination centers to get uninterrupted cheating. “This is a practice for the last few years”, an officer of the BBISE said. The officer requested anonymity.
Sarpara urges parents to ensure proper studies of their sons and daughters
Mr. Sarpara moreover urged the parents to ensure proper studies of their sons and daughters. “We have closed the doors of cheating”, he insisted.
The Balochistan government has also launched a drive against cheating. “Zero tolerance for cheating”, Sher Khan Bazai, the Secretary Education Balochistan assured.
The education sector across Balochistan paints a bleak picture when it comes to the quality of education.
