Arshad Majeed posted as Home Secretary Balochistan

The Balochistan government has posted Arshad Majeed as the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) on Friday evening. He was currently serving as Commissioner Zhob Division.

According to a notification issued by Chief Secretary Mathar Niaz Rana, the government has also appointed Hafiz Abdul Basit as the Additional Chief Secretary (Development) Balochistan. Mr. Basit’s predecessor, Saboor Kakar directed him to report to the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD).

Hafiz Basit was currently serving as ACS Home  

Hafiz Abdul Basit was currently serving as the ACS (Home) Balochistan. He remained principal secretary to the chief minister Balochistan during Nawab Aslam Raisani and Nawab Sanaullah Zehri governments.

Arshad Majeed is a grade-21 officer of the federal government. He has also served as the Secretary of S&GAD Balochistan. The newly posted Home Secretary has also served on various positions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Major reshuffle in bureaucracy expected in Balochistan 

Sources in the Balochistan government also revealed another major reshuffle in the provincial bureaucracy. Chief Secretary Balochistan Mathar Niaz Rana had also conducted an assessment of the officers in this regard. Mr. Rana has also interviewed some provincial secretaries.
