Pakistan plays key role in Afghanistan peace process: Qasim Suri

Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Qasim Khan Suri on Tuesday said Pakistan was playing key role in the Afghan peace process. Speaking to reporters after his visit to civil hospital Quetta, Mr. Suri said Pakistan has always extended all possible support for durable peace in Afghanistan.
He however said India was behind acts of terrorism in Balochistan and other parts of the country. “Indians are uncomfortable with the peace process in Afghanistan”, Mr. Suri said.
Issues within coalition partners to be resolved
In response to a question about differences in the coalition government, the Deputy Speaker said the coalition parties would solve the issues through negotiations. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan during his visit to Quetta had asked the coalition partners to solve issues amicably.
Regarding the thrid-wave of coronavirus, Mr. Suri urged the people to adopt the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to battle the deadly virus. He said the government has announced a lockdown to effectively battle the virus.
Deputy Speaker visits various wards and met patients
The Deputy Speaker visited various wards of the civil hospital and Fatima Jinnah Chest and General Hospital and interacted with staff and patients. The Medical Superintendent of the civil hospital, Dr. Arbab Kamran Kasi, and Dr. Rahim Babar, the Young Doctors Association (YDA) organizer briefed the Deputy Speaker about the steps taken by the government to battle the deadly virus.
