Dr. Shehar Bano dies in a traffic accident near Khuzdar

KHUZDAR: A lady doctor died in a traffic accident near Khuzdar district of Balochistan. Levies sources said the car of the lady doctor turned turtle in the Saman Waheer area on the national highway. The lady doctor identified as Shehar Bano breathed her last on the spot, Levies said.

The brother of the lady doctor also injured in the accident. Levies shifted the injured to Khuzdar hospital for medical treatment. The dead body of the lady doctor shifted to the hospital. A large number of people gathered at the hospital to mourn the sad demise of Dr. Shehar Bano.

Levies said the car of the lady doctor was over-speeding. She was returning from her duty along with her brother when the tragedy struck. The death of Dr. Shehar Bano mourned on social media activists from Balochistan. They demanded of the provincial and federal governments to improve roads.

Dr. Shehar Bano was the daughter of Qazi Hassan Ali Sasoli, the President Khuzdar Bar Association. Balochistan National Party (BNP) leader, Sanaullah Baloch also expressed grief and sorrows over the sad demise of the doctor.

“Government must improve road conditions in Balochistan to save precious human lives”, he said.

Traffic accidents have claimed scores of precious human lives in Balochistan. Deadly incidents have become the order of the day on Quetta-Karachi, Jaccobabad, and Quetta-Zhob highways. Traffic accidents have claimed more lives than terrorism incidents in Balochistan.

This incident came hours after six people died in a traffic accident in the Garang area of Killa Saifullah district of Balochistan. The poor condition of roads, over-speeding, and reckless driving are the main causes behind increasing incidents of traffic accidents.
