Turbat police got remand of accused in children abuse case

Turbat police got physical remand of an accused in connection with sexual abuse of 2 children the other day. Sher Jan, a police officer at Balochistan province’s Buleda area said the accused Sagheer presented before the court on Thursday. The Judicial Magistrate Turbat, Waseem Ahmed Rais handed over the accused to the police for 7 days on physical remand.

Police had arrested the accused Sagheer for allegedly subjecting two children to sexual abuse along with three other accused in the Buleda area of district Kech. Three accused are still at large, Sher Jan stated. He said police were conducting raids for the arrest of the remaining accused in the sexual abuse case.

Parents of the children had nominated four accused in their application at Buleda police station. The accused would be arrested soon, Sher Jan said.

This incident has come three weeks after the rape and brutal murder of an eight-year-old boy in Balochistan’s Kalat. Police had arrested all three accused involved in the rape and murder of the minor boy.

Incidents of violence against women and children increased during the current year in Balochistan. Chief Justice Balochistan High Court (BHC), Mr. Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail had taken notice of the increasing cases of child abuse in the province.

Top judge of the province had directed all commissioners to submit a comprehensive report in this regard to the court.
