Burnt body of a 10-year-old boy found in Pishin

Levies found the burnt dead body of a 10-year old boy in Balochistan’s Pishin district on Wednesday morning. The minor boy belongs to the Hazara town area of Quetta. Police have arrested four accused in connection with the brutal murder of the minor boy, Azhar Akram, the Deputy Inspector General of Police Quetta said.

The minor boy identified as Sher Ali was kidnapped from the Hazara town area the other day, Mr. Akram said.

A senior administration officer in Pishin mentioned that police arrested two accused from Quetta and one accused arrested from Pishin. Their four companion was also arrested, he added.

Accused arrested on the information of heirs of the victim 

The accused have been arrested on the information of heirs of the minor boy, the officer stated.

The accused include Itfikhar, Mehdi, and Baqir. “Police have been interrogating the accused”, he stated. The accused were demanding ransom from the parents of the victim Sher Ali Hazara.

Levies force handed over the dead body of the minor to police after completion of official procedures.

Violent acts against children increased in Balochistan 

In Balochistan, violence against children has increased recently. This incident has come three weeks after the brutal murder of a minor boy Asmatullah in the Zhob district of Balochistan. Police also arrested key accused involved in the murder of Asmatullah in Zhob.

In view of increasing violent acts against children, the newly posted Balochistan Police Chief Muhammad Rai Tahir has introduced “Zainab Alert” within the force to take prompt action regarding child abuse and ensure timely recovery of missing children in the province.
