Dead body of ANP leader Asad Achakzai found in Quetta

The dead body of missing Awami National Party (ANP) leader, Asad Achakzai found in Nohsar area of Quetta on Saturday. Five months back, Asad Achakzai had gone missing from Quetta’s airport.

“Dead body recovered from Nohsar area”, Rasheed Nasar, a central leader of the party said. The party had staged protest demonstrations across the country for the recovery of Asad Achakzai.

Police also reached the spot of the recovery of the dead body and launched a probe into the incident.

Asghar Achakzai also confirms the recovery of the dead body 

Late Achakzai was the cousin of ANP Balochistan president, Asghar Khan Achakzai. He belongs to Chaman.

The ANP provincial president Asghar Achakzai also took to Twitter and announced the recovery of the dead body of his cousin.

“We are going to Nohsar with police to shift the dead body”, Asghar Achakzai told journalists. He said police have asked them to evacuate the dead in the presence of heirs and a magistrate.

The ANP announced that the funeral prayer of Asad Khan Achakzai would be offered at the Model High School ground Chaman on Sunday.

Asfandyar Wali condemns

ANP Chief, Asfandyar Wali Khan has strongly condemned the killing of Asad Achakzai. In a condolence statement, Asfandyar Wali expressed grief and sorrows over the sad incident and demanded the arrest of the killers.

PSF protests

Activists of the Pashtoon Students Federation (PSF) also staged a protest demonstration at main Manan Chowk against the killing of Asad Achakzai. The protesters burnt tires and blocked the road to vent their anger.
