World women health day has great significance: Bushra Rind

Parliamentary Secretary on Information, Bushra Rind on Thursday said world women’s health day has great significance. In a statement issued on the eve of International day of action for women’s health, she said major objective behind obsering this day is to create awareness among women about their health issues.

Irrespective of creed, color and religion, every individual of the society has the right to get better medical treatment, she stated. The parliamentary secretary on information underlined the need for an end to gender discrimination and empowering women segment of society so that they could play their role.

Present government determines to empower women 

“This government has determined to empower women”, she stated. She said the present government under th leadership of chief minister Jam Kamal Khan has taken a number of initiatives to empower women in Balochistan.

She specifically mentioned that the COVID19 has also affected women physically and physiologically. Women need special attention, she added. The Balochistan government has already adopted a bill with regard to women empowerment in the province.
