Qadir Baloch calls on Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Lieutenant General (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch called on President Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) parliamentarian, Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday. Chairman PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and former PPP senator Sabir Baloch were also present on the occasion.
Abdul Qadir Baloch discussed the prevailing political situation with PPP leaders, a statement released by the PPP media cell said. Qadir Baloch remained a federal minister in the cabinet of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. Mr. Baloch elected as the Member National Assembly during the 2013 general elections on the ticket of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) from NA-271 Kharan-cum-Panjgoor Balochistan.
Differences developed between Baloch and party over PDM narrative
Differences between Lt. General (R) Qadir Baloch and the central command of the PML N developed following the party’s narrative in Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) public meetings. Former Chief Minister, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri also resigned from the PML N.
This meeting has come almost a week after the PPP Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari nominated Changez Jamali as the President of the party in Balochistan.
